 2006 Fishing Derby

Did you Know?

In order to prepare for the Fishing Derby

each year, J.B. Williams pond is stocked

with over 100 rainbow and brook trout. Several fish are tagged for special prizes

to the person that hooks them!

The largest fish put in the pond in 2007

was over 16" long, and there were 16 of them. The largest fish caught was 14" and about 21 fish were caught!

An 18" trout weighs about 3 pounds, a 16" trout about 2 pounds. So...chances of catching a BIG fish at next year's Fishing Derby are pretty good!
