The Antique Festival once again was very successful despite continued lack of cooperation from the weather! We were lucky to have a rain free day but the rainy forecast resulted in a low gate and 15 dealers who were no shows. Of the 15 dealers, 6 had paid. The Society booth did its usual excellent job, netting around $4,000. Despite the conditions, our volunteers and Committee members headed up by Debbie Lemieux did a superb job. I also thank all the people who donated items to the Society booth and “Laurel Gardens of Glastonbury” for lending us tents for the gates. The combination of great volunteers and excellent booth items made the Festival a success. In spite of increased spending on advertising the gate was down for the 4th year running. The net was $8,100 still making it an excellent fundraiser. The Festival continues to the biggest yearly fundraiser for the Society. Great work!
The following is a list of this year's Antique Festival volunteers (not in alphabetical order). If I have missed someone, I apologize. Over the years many members and non-members have contributed to the great success of this fundraiser and we thank them as well.
